You need to hear and feel the sound of Warodjah. An online magazine offers many digital benefits, but unfortunately we cannot yet make you feel the vibes you get at his live performance. But we can let you hear it: turn up your speakers, click the record and enjoy the sparkling and funky sounds of Warodjah. You won’t get them out of your head anytime soon.

Warodjah wants to pay homage to the rich heritage of African music and the tradition of African Griots, the West African storytellers and healers. Special guest Zouratié Koné, hailing from a Griot family of the Bwa tribe living between Mali and Burkina Faso, takes us on a sonic journey with his masterful handling of his self-crafted Kora.

Playing around with the original theme, he adds full of surpassing and groovy elements that draw you to the dancefloor and keeps you there!

So what about DJ Afreak?

Andrea Rausa a.k.a. Dj Afreak is, apart from a Coordinator EU funding at Ciaotech Energy and Environment a DJ and music enthusiast, searching on African music and the sounds of global Africa. Always curious of the clashes among cultures, music and styles, and a true believer of the positive forces of contamination. Inspired by Africa’s rich array of sounds and rhythms, Andrea embarked since the 90’s on a journey to explore how music from the continent has influenced various genres and styles worldwide. Since 2000, he has been playing records for festivals, clubs and private parties, travelling several times to Africa and the Caribbean to enrich his knowledge and enlarge his musical collection. Resident DJ and promoter of various event formats in Italy, co-curator of the eclectic musical platform Mixology, since 2020 he is based in Berlin, where he’s further honing his musical skills. And yes, he does all this in his spare time!
